Beasts of Burden

This is a letterpress printed book, individually handbound, made in a limited edition of 30. The images of animals are pressure printed, and the text is printed from hand-set metal type (Bembo) on Rives Lightweight paper. The text reads: 'They are all beasts of burden in a sense,' Thoreau once remarked of animals, 'made to carry some portion of our thoughts.'

Closed, the book measures about 3.5" x 9.25". Open, the accordion folds stretch to 42" long.
